WINDOWS 7

Got Windows 7 installed on my laptop today. Also bought an external drive to back up the info on my laptop and two desktops. Got to keep better track of this stuff. Almost lost some photos of Shawn's games due to a software issue yesterday.

Let me know how Windows 7 works for you. I am getting tired of buying the latest version of Windows and then being let down.

We would like to know how it works for you too. We will wait a couple months just in case of glitches. I know that there are things that will need to be changed in the PC before I get it. I wonder if the upgrade will work well with XP. It really looks good.

Quite honestly, so far I do not notice much difference. There are a few small things, like how the window files are displayed when the curser is dragged over the explorer icon with multiple windows up but that is about all I have seen. Other computer geeks say it is a lot better and faster but I don't notice it. It was a free upgrade that came with my lap top.

New installations almost always run faster. Wait a few months and the OS usually slows down due to various accumulating software installations and services that get added on over time.

I will be getting a free upgrade soon as well (we bought $300 e-machine for guest and emergency use).
