Lyrics vs Lyrics

In the Wortham blog Teresa asked about song lyrics. I have decided to post these two videos with the same lyrics of a 1970's hit by Castle to demonstrate my point. These lyrics are set to videos produced to be anti-Bush/Iraq war and Pro-Bush/Iraq war. Watch each and see what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xR8rnUmtGU. The other is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCKQ1KfcyFg

One must decide whether who is are the valley people and who are the mountain people. It can be seen either way. Nevertheless, it was Islamic extremists who struck many first blows in the name of their God, not the U.S. The U.S. did not respond in the name of God, but only in defense of its citizens.

Agreed. I think the anti-bush version is a twist. I posted this in response to Teresa's post about lyrics and what they mean because I think they can mean what ever one wants.

Islam claims to be a religion of peace, but actions, which always speak louder than words, abundantly indicate otherwise.
